Anyplace Anywhere

The world is
Has been
And will be
In a moments flutter
I was here then I was there
Did you feel me
My caress
My hugs and kisses
Did I leave a trace
Of my dreams
Of my desires

Can you find my footprints?
The ones I left on dewy grass
Late that night in search of Orion
Or the ones on the beach
Where we would meet

To be you and me
Under shooting stars
Uninterrupted
by sounds and movement
of other lives

Did I leave a taste
On your lips
Did I leave my scent
on your skin
Where I spent so many hours

Did I leave my impression
On the pillow
On the bed
In the sheets
We shared for so many years

Did I let you know me
In a moments flutter
I was here then I was there
