My World is Jade

Jade: 1.an ornamental stone either of two minerals, jadeite or nephrite, sometimes green, highly esteemed as an ornamental stone for carvings, jewelry, etc.2.an object, as a carving, made from this material.3.Also called jade green, green, varying from bluish green to yellowish green.

The waters of the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida remind me of Jade stone.
Jade, the symbol for serenity signifying wisdom is said to attract good luck, friendship and love.

The Jade waters stimulate my imagination.

I can imagine ...
ships being tossed around by the ocean as canons go off while battling each other over stolen treasures.

I can hope ...
to find something valuable gently guided by foaming waves onto the shore before my feet just because I'm lucky.

I can picture ...
long curly haired mermaids splashing and playing alongside fat gray manatees.

I can envision ...
a couple falling in love on this pier as they open up their hearts to one another. The jade waters their only witness.

The world is a beautiful place when you stop to look around.

What does Jade make you think of?

“It reminds me of a piece of jade. The emerald light coming from within is refracted and dispersed according to the consistency of the impurities that gave it its quality.” Thomas D'Evelyn

"The jeweler allows me to wear the sapphire blue lake on my finger, the emerald green leaves around my neck, and take the citrine sunset with me wherever I go. Jewelry has become my daytime link to nature in an office with no windows. And if I have to work late, there's nothing like diamond stars and a pearl full moon against an onyx night sky." Astrid Alauda

Me hace pensar de mi nombre ... Esmeralda ... otra piedra verde. Love these pictures. The first one looks very surreal, like something out of a fantasy scene.
