Things to do on a Pier ~ Florida Photography

Pier: 1. A structure leading out from the shore into a body of water, in particular. 2. A platform supported on pillars or girders, used as a landing stage for boats.

"Blue, green, grey, white, or black; smooth, ruffled, or mountainous; that ocean is not silent." H. P. Lovecraft

Things to do on a Pier:

1. See how long you can hold your breath.

2. Pretend to be a pirate.

3. Speak to peeps like a pirate. Aargh!

4. Sing

5. Dance

6. Read

7. Paint

8. Start a Conversation

9. Enjoy the view

10. Make up a Poem

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets." Gloria Stuart
"According to String Theory, what appears to be empty space is actually a tumultuous ocean of strings vibrating at the precise frequencies that create the 4 dimensions you and I call height, width, depth and time." Roy H. Williams
"But more wonderful than the lore of old men and the lore of books is the secret lore of ocean." H. P. Lovecraft
"Everything that ever walked or crawled on the face of the earth, swum the depths of the ocean or soared through the skies left its imprint here." Robert M. Fresco
"I was like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me." Isaac Newton
Beautiful pictures! I've got to tell you, I love looking at photos of piers, but being on one scares me. I don't know why. It could be that the ocean in general is scary to me. Living in Arizona I don't get too many chances to overcome that fear. I love your blog post, though!
