Rebel:1. To refuse allegiance to and oppose by force an established government or ruling authority. 2. To resist or defy an authority or a generally accepted convention. 3. To feel or express strong unwillingness or repugnance
When I was a teen I used to sign
my poems
Rebel.
I never thought of it as fighting
growing, testing boundaries
i wouldn't follow the rules
or submit to categories
But at least I lived life my way
can u say the same?
I felt I was liberating myself
growing, testing boundaries
igNOring the No's
and embracing
'why the hell not?!'
i wouldn't follow the rules
or submit to categories
i got in a lot of trouble
i got called names
But at least I lived life my way
can u say the same?

I've always felt like a rebel. Going against the grain, doing what others couldn't, or wouldn't, or were too afraid to.
I've made mistakes, but I've lived my life out loud and proud and have had a lot of amazing experiences because of it!
Returning your visit through FTLOB! Love this post!
Good message... It is hard to figure out who you are sometimes.
I like that quote. In fact, my greatest pleasure in life is also doing things that my inner voice says I can't do, so it works both ways!
Stopping by from FTLOB!
