Secret Doors

"Curiosity is lying in wait for every secret." Ralph Waldo Emerson

SECRET = kept from knowledge or view
elude observation or detection
mysterious, underground
clandestine, discreet, sly

Through a series of events I learned very early in life that anything material can be destroyed or forcefully taken away.   The rebel in me figured out the only thing of value that I had full control over was my heart and spirit.  I began to build layers to fiercely protect and guard my treasures.

Recently, I noticed when I'm around children the complete opposite happens. I have no walls.  Their honesty and innocence compels me to open the secret door to reveal the tenderness in my heart through my eyes and my smile.  I get an instant reaction every single time without fail.  They want to bathe in my light and I wish with all my heart and soul I could protect their innocence forever.

The next time you want to pass through a secret door spend some time with children. They will teach you to find that light deep inside you carried so easily as a child.

"The secret to humor is surprise." Aristotle

"The secret of all victory lies in the organization of the non-obvious." Marcus Aurelius

"In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order." Carl Jung

"Perseverance, secret of all triumphs." Victor Hugo

Beautiful post! We all have those secret doors we have to open up or take down. Children are so intuitive and can see right through you, helping your light shine through and encouraging your trueself to emerge.
Thanks for visiting my pet blog.
