whimsy

whimsy - quaint or fanciful quality or humor

Light Graffitti 2010

When all else fails I turn to humor.
Ever try to be sarcastic but the other person takes it seriously?  That's happened to me more than a few times.  Talk about awkward.  I blame it on my whimsical sense of humor.

I did grow up watching uncensored massive amounts of television and movies.  While still in elementary school I'd watch tons of inappropriate comedy like: Saturday Night Live, Benny Hill, Monty Python and crazy movies like Porkys, PeeWee's Great Adventure, Fatal Attraction, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, etc . . .

Combine that with watching every single horror movie on TV from cult classics like The Creature from the Black Lagoon to all out emotionally scaring like the Exorcist, Amityville Horror, Creepshow, etc . . .

Speaking of inappropriate or rather whimsical humor . . .
Oh man, I remember the time my godparents tried to expose us to some culture by making us watch The Elephant Man movie.  It didn't work out quite how they expected.  We were around the ages 10 or  11 and just couldn't control ourselves from giggling and assigning different Elephant Man traits to each other.  It's that sensation that happens every time you're in a place requiring silence; silence is the hardest thing to achieve.  Plus if you have a whimsical sense of humor it's way too hard to resist making someone else laugh to get them in trouble.  Before the first act was over my cousin was literally rolling around the linoleum floor in a fit of uncontrollable laughter which of course set the rest of us off like a chain reaction.  In conclusion the adults kicked us out of the projection room and it wasn't until many years later I could appreciate that film.

Yeah I'd say my style of humor is pretty whimsical.

Enjoy these whimsical quotes. ;)

"You'll feel better when you feel fine."

"I try to think but nothing happens." The Three Stooges

"There are no stupid questions, just stupid people"

"A conclusion is the place where you got tired of thinking."

"He who laughs last didn't get it."

It was sneaky blogger. The movie is a great work of art directed by David Lynch, starring Anthony Hopkins.
