Fairies

Fairy: an imaginary supernatural being, usually represented in diminutive human form and characterized as clever, playful, and having magical powers.

"Every time a child says: 'I don't believe in fairies' there is a fairy somewhere that falls down dead." James Matthew Barrie, Peter Pan

I love fairies.  They really stimulate my imagination.  They open doors. They take me places.
You can find some of my Fairy inspired paintings HERE and also HERE .

I even included some fairies in the fantasy serial I did with author J.R. Turner.
You can read the entire story for free HERE .

"Once upon a time, I thought faeries lived only in books, old folktales, and the past. That was before they burst upon my life as vibrant, luminous beings, permeating my art and my everyday existence, causing glorious havoc." Brian Froud

"If you see the magic in a fairy tale, you can face the future." Danielle Steel

"Buttercups in the sunshine look like little cups of gold.
Perhaps the Faeries come to drink the raindrops that they hold."
Elizabeth T. Dillingham, "A Faery Song".

Letty, of course, now whenever I think of fairies, I think of Trueblood! I so want to believe in them. Your first painting made me imagine it as the place where fairies hang their wings before they go for a swim. ; ) I read the first installment of the story. Well written, and engaging right from the first sentence. I want to read the rest. Love this post!
