Birdcall: The song or cry of a bird.

"A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song." Chinese Proverb

These birds demanded my attention this morning.  Their beaks open and pointing to the sky as they let out loud raucous cries. It was loud and unrelenting even as I stopped to snap their picture.

I thought they were crows but they're not black.  Like oil or gasoline their feathers have many shades of blue, green and purple.

“May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day. May songbirds serenade you every step along the way. May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue. And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through.” Irish Blessings

Nice pictures. I always thought of grackles as just plain old birds but since I have been taking pictures of birds, I have been able to see the differences in their coloring and notice just how beautiful they are.

I like your pictures.

Que bonitos. Their coloring is almost peacock-like. I was trying to figure out what those two were doing in the distance! *LOL*

Your lovely comments made me think that when we pause to observe anything we discover the magic in it. Thanks. :)
